Asia’s Largest Cruise Ship Comes to Singapore

Asia’s largest and most revolutionary ship, Quantum of the Seas by Royal Caribbean International, will be back in Singapore for a six-month homeporting season in November 2019 to April 2020.

Her itineraries include 4-night cruises to Penang or Phuket, 5-night cruises to Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Penang and Phuket, a 7-night cruise to Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Penang and Phuket (with an overnight) and a 7-night cruise to Bangkok (Laem Chabang) (with an overnight) and Ho Chi Minh City.

This Quantum Class smart ship has redefined cruising in Asia in terms of size and innovative amenities. The ship is 18-deck high and can carry 4,905 guests in total.

While the cruise ship has the usual amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a shopping arcade, spa, royal theatre and more, the unique adventure facilities of the Quantum of the Seas are the ones to look out for.

1. North Star

The North Star is an observation capsule that gently ascends over 300 feet above sea level, revealing 360-degree views of a world. Simply step into North Star’s intimate, jewel-shaped capsule where you can take in breathtaking views of the ocean, the ship and the exciting destinations you visit.

2. Two70°

During the day, Two70° is a modern, open area living room with magnificent 270° panoramic views — the perfect place to kick back and relax while taking in the scenery from vast floor-to-ceiling windows spanning two-and-a-half decks high.

By night, Two70° transforms. As the lights go down and the music comes up, you’ll find yourself immersed in the centre of spellbinding performance art, mind-blowing light shows and dazzling digital scenery.

3. Bionic Bar

Cocktails served by robots? Check out this amazing experience at the Bionic Bar! Powered by Makr Shakr, a bionic arm will take your order and shake up a cocktail especially for you.

4. RipCord by iFly

Always wanted to skydive? Now you can do it at sea with this skydiving simulator. RipCord by iFly will keep you afloat in a safe, controlled environment. So you can feel the wind in your hair, and the complete and utter WOW of flying, all without ever having to leave the ship.

5. FlowRider Surf Simulator

Grab a board and catch a wave on the 40-foot-long surf simulator. Want to refine your FlowRider skills? Try a private lesson for a nominal charge.

6. SeaPlex

SeaPlex has the world’s first-ever bumper car rink at sea! You’ll also find a roller-skating rink, a full-size hoops court and table tennis — not to mention a circus school, so you can tap into your inner trapeze artist. And if all this play makes you hungry, the first-ever food truck at sea is on hand to serve up tasty snacks.

7. Rock Climbing Wall

The view alone is worth every step. Climb forty feet above deck on the signature Rock Climbing Wall, where everyone from beginners to speed climbers can strap in and go vertical.

8. Dining

The ship also boasts 18 restaurant venues with cuisines from around the globe, including signature restaurants - Wonderland, Chef’s Table, Michael's Genuine Pub, and Jamie’s Italian by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
