90 Minutes from Singapore to Desaru Coast Malaysia

Known for its pristine beaches and untouched nature, Desaru Coast Malaysia has been popular with Singaporean travellers for generations. With the launch of ferry services by Batam Fast Ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, you can now reach Desaru Coast Malaysia in just 90 minutes! 

The ferry services are available from Thursdays to Sundays. There is a promotion price of $98 return with the promotion code “DESARU0707” that you will need to key in upon checkout. The ferry departs Singapore at 8.30am and leaves Desaru Coast Malaysia at 5.30pm.

Anantara Desaru Coast & Villas was the first resort we stepped into and we were immediately transported to a tropical paradise. In authentic Anantara hospitality, we were greeted by their warm and welcoming team although we were absolutely fixated on taking pictures of the property. 

With 9 different types of luxury accommodations nestled in lush tropical gardens to choose from, Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas offers a serene escape for friends and families. From all day dining at Tumeric, to the freshest seafood at Sea.Fire.Salt. , lounge at the Observatory Deck, Pool Bar or end your evening with drinks and cigars at their Infinity Bar, there are just so many dining options to choose from. We looked forward to breakfast every morning as it was a huge spread of Western and local Malaysian dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Char Kway Teow, curries, noodles, breads, waffles, pancakes, freshly squeezed juices and more.

Desaru Coast Malaysia Tip: Book your Saturday Seaside Escape Champagne Brunch in advance as it is the only champagne brunch in Desaru Coast Malaysia. We absolutely enjoyed our Saturday Brunch which is from 11.30am - 4pm. Dishes we tried and enjoyed included freshly shucked Oysters, Scallop Ceviche, Tuna Poke Bowl, Buffola Mozarella, pan seared Foie Gras, Soft Shell Crab Mantou, Lamb cutlets, and their Lobster Linguine. Alcoholic drink options include free-flow of cocktails such as Margaritas,  Mojitos, beers and wines. More importantly, the service was fabulous for RM$398+ per person.

Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is ready to welcome music lovers and families. With direct access to Adventure Waterpark, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is an obvious choice for families. Parents and grandparents can definitely hideout in their Beachside Cabanas which comes with a fully stocked fridge and ample snacks to munch on. Roxity Kids Club™ gives little ones a chance to hang with the coolest crew around, the Roxtars — colourful, music-inspired characters that will keep them entertained.

Do not miss out on the world’s first fully immersive music-centric spa menu at Rock Spa. The Heavenly Spa by Westin™ has numerous rooms, a massive jacuzzi as well as a 24-hour gym. We thoroughly enjoyed our Heavenly Spa Signature Massage as their therapists were highly skilled. The massage started with a heated compress applied to the back of our meridian points before a Swedish massage. We absolutely appreciated the view from our treatment room which had us feeling so close to nature.

The Els Golf Club Desaru Coast

The 45-hole property in Desaru Coast boasts two Championship courses, each designed by a world golf hall of famer, Ernie Els. The Ocean Course, designed by the club’s namesake and four-time major champion, Ernie Els is set on one of the most spectacular plots of land anywhere in the world.

Overlooking the South China Sea, the course can comprise of any two of the three 9-hole courses on-site, offering unique variability.
