Adrian Zecha, one of the world’s leading creators and operators of award-winning luxury hotels and resorts such as Aman Resorts, launched Azerai Ke Ga Bay to offer travellers looking for a secluded beach resort, with panoramic ocean views, lush ginger gardens with tropical trees and flowers, less than 3 hours from Ho Chi Minh city for real privacy and escape.
Suites, Pool Suites and Pavilions
Azerai Ke Ga Bay takes design cues from a modernist Vietnamese architectural aesthetic which connects the resort to the natural landscape and surroundings. Using indigenous Vietnamese materials to breathe new life into the resort, such as locally-sourced natural stone and timber, the aesthetics of the resort provides a sense of calm and luxury. You can go on walks within the resort and be at one with nature.
Azerai Ke Ga Bay has a total of 57 suites, pool suites and pavilions to choose from. 18 suites seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor living, featuring plunge pools or swimming pools set within your private courtyard.
Clean, Flavourful and Fresh Cuisine
One of our favourite places to dine in the resort is at the terrace, which boasts an unblocked view out towards the sky and sea. You can hear the waves as you dine, which makes your dining experience even better, on top of all the delicious food.
At breakfast, eggs can be done the way you like, other popular dishes include avocado toasts with parma ham, crab cakes benedicts, traditional Vietnamese Phở , Bánh mì, Bánh xèo, an assorted seafood pancake from Ke Ga Bay as well as delicious french toasts that is not on the menu.
For lunch and dinner, we tried a mix of western and Vietnamese dishes and were absolutely blown away by the freshness, and flavours. All dishes on the menu are also clearly labelled - gluten free, nut free, or dairy free and it is easy to communicate as the attentive team speaks English.
If you are lucky, you can also see a herd of cows make their way across the island while dining.
The Azerai Spa
The entire resort is a calming oasis and the spa is no exception. We could hear the ocean as we drifted to sleep while experiencing the Azerai Asian Wave massage. The rhythmic and dynamic movements of this signature massage are like sea waves gently rocking and washing away all stress and tension. This treatment combines Swedish, Thai and Hawaiian Lomi techniques with Japanese Shiatsu.
The spa provides a range of therapeutic massages, body scrubs and wraps, hair treatments and facials, in addition to hand and foot therapies, complimentary steam room and sauna to help guests relax and indulge.
Visit The Local Salt Fields and Dragon Fruit Farms
Salt is such a staple in our meals that it was a fascinating experience to visit a local salt field just minutes away from our resort. We were greeted by vast expanses of shimmering salt pans, and saw the extraction of seawater, and its subsequent evaporation, leaving behind crystalised salt. We would highly recommend having your cameras ready as it is a sight to capture.
As Asians, we have grown up eating dragon fruits but it was our first time visiting a dragon fruit farm. Known locally as "thanh long" in Vietnam, this tropical fruit has three main varieties, a white-fleshed with pink skin, red-fleshed with red skin, and white-fleshed with yellow skin. You must try the dragon fruit smoothie at Azerai Ke Ga Bay. Not only is it delicious, but it is a good source of vitamin C, antioxidants and fibre.
Ke Ga Lighthouse
Ke Ga Bay is associated with Ke Ga Lighthouse, which is one of the oldest lighthouses in Vietnam, dating back to the late 19th century. It was built by the French during the colonial era to guide ships safely through the waters of the South China Sea. The lighthouse is perched on a rocky island and offers panoramic views of the surrounding sea and coastline.
If you are looking to unwind by a seaside resort in Vietnam, Azerai Ke Ga Bay awaits you.
