Makeup artists know their stuff. Especially when it comes to beauty products that are a must buy! We spoke to a few leading ladies in the industry to find out which singular product made it to their list of favourites.
1. Bubbly J
Bubbly ventured into the world of beauty at the young age of 17 and has since worked with some of the biggest names in the cosmetics industry. A civil and structural engineering graduate (yes really!), she decided to turn her passion for creativity into a business and started Looks Studio. If that wasn’t enough, Bubbly also runs her own fashion label, Opium by Bubbly J, which houses clothes that are Indian by design but with a European flair. She plays with colours, fabrics and intricate detailing and creates timeless pieces effortlessly.
What is your favourite makeup product and why?
Our eyes are literally the window to our world! My favourite product is the Diorshow Iconic Mascara because it takes my lashes to new lengths and I don't have to use a curler!

2. Stéphanie Simoncini
A freelance makeup artist in France, this French mum of two is quite popular with the expat community in Singapore. Trained in Asian makeup and beauty too, Stéphanie owns Chic Seduction, through which she offers makeup services as well as courses for women to learn or improve make up techniques. Perfect for those of us who want to learn the right way to do makeup! Stéphanie is also a face painter who does artistic makeup for drama and corporate events.
What is your favourite makeup product and why?
My favourite product? Has to be the Benefit Concealer Cream. The texture of this cream and the resulting coverage is just perfect. It can also be used for eyes and to correct red spots very easily.

4. Shradha Agarwal
Originally from India, Shradha specializes in Celebrity, Fashion, Commercial and Bridal make up. An interest on learning how to apply makeup on herself, encouraged Shradha to join a course by a Bollywood makeup celebrity in 2005. Since then, and many professional degrees later, Shradha has worked with several personalities and brands including The Studio, Elizabeth Arden, Kate cosmetics and Kanebo -lunasol. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and review new makeup and hair products.
What is your favourite makeup product and why?
It's very difficult to choose just one product but if I have to then it's going to be my Temptu Airbrush makeup system with patented airpod technology. This revolutionary system is an all-in-one tool that is designed to achieve a naturally radiant, soft-focus glow . It does the work of a multitude of brushes, creating great coverage which blends in seamlessly on the surface of the skin.

5. Stella Tay Leung
Stella is a certified professional makeup instructor and has trained more than 1000 students in her training career. She graduated from London College of Fashion with a Diploma in Professional Makeup Artistry and Image Styling for Stage Performance. With 17 years of experience, Stella has worked for makeup industry icons such as MAC, T-LeClerc and Christian Dior. She currently teaches makeup artistry courses on a regular basis and helps her personal clients become their own makeup experts and enhance their individual style.
What is your favourite makeup product and why?
My favourite makeup product is A combination of the Mist and Fix Setting Spray from MakeUp For Ever and Blot Powder from MAC. As a professional makeup artist in Singapore, the most challenging part is to make makeup last in all this humidity. So, at the end of every make up session (whether on myself or for a client), I spray one layer of Mist and Fix, and also apply a touch of blot powder to set it all in.
