The Ordinary’s Balancing & Clarifying Serum is an all-in-one serum targeted towards oily and acne-prone skin. As part of the range of The Ordinary’s Multi-Active Solutions, seven key technologies are combined in this serum to achieve results.

Sarcosine, L-Carnitine and Polylysine reduce the appearance of oiliness and shine, while Adenosine reduces the appearance of pores and textured skin. N-Acetylglucosamine, an amino sugar, offers similar exfoliation properties to direct acids and targets congestion and uneven skin tone. The amino acid Ectoin protects the skin barrier and maintains skin hydration, while lactococcus ferment lysate strengthens the skin barrier.

Even if it’s full of actives, the Balancing & Clarifying Serum is gentle enough to use up to twice daily. With a light, watery texture, this serum is good for layering in a skincare routine.
