Less than 3 hours or 200 kilometers drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin sits on the popular Cha-Am Beach in Thailand. This expansive resort is an escape for all ages, allowing you to reconnect with nature or friends and family.
Upon arriving at the resort, you will see a mirage of stairs designed by award-winning Thai architect Duangrit Bunnag. The majestic elephant sure caught our attention before we walked through the private pathways to our villa.
One-Bedroom So Pool Villa
We arrived at our One-Bedroom So Pool Villa and was blown away by how spacious it was. Nothing beats having your own private pool to wake up to an in-room floating pool breakfast. There is also an outdoor cabana to lounge at with ceiling fans! This modern villa has all the key amenities such as a rain shower, bathtub, double vanity wash basins, and of course, a smart tv to cast your current Netflix series and bedside usb ports to charge your mobile phones.
There are also 3 different pool types to choose from apart from your pool villa.

We thoroughly enjoyed our SO Relaxing Massage that had us drifting off to sleep.
SO/ Explorer
For a truly surreal experience, say yes to witnessing 2 million bats depart at sunset for their evening foray for food. The nightly mass exodus from Nayang Bat Cave is a spectacular display of nature and poetry in motion as they make an undulating trail across the sky.
SO/ Hot Wheels Scooter or Cycle Around The Property
We started the morning by renting a SO Hot Wheels Scooter and drove around the property to explore. You can also rent bicycles and cycle as they have a 3.5 km cycling track or simply choose to walk.
A perfect resort for a multi-generational holiday, where the adults can unwind and the kids are perfectly entertained. They have the Wet Bubble Pool, Witbit Adventure Float for children above 7 years old, SO 18-hole adventure golf, a Kids Tent with activities and entertainment, So Sundae for ice creams, popcorn and more.
Do check with the team on their daily activities as there are also yoga sessions in the morning on weekends!
Delicious Cuisines at SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin
We thoroughly enjoyed the Thai cuisine at White Oven which used freshly caught produce. Indulge in Thai dishes such as Rice Noodle with Crab Curry, Mackerel Fried Rice, Green Curry, Tom Yum Goong, Mango Sticky Rice and more. You can also opt for their Thai BBQ Experience or simply choose to go a-la-carte.
Facing the beach, Beach Society is a casual restaurant with western offerings and daily specials. Their freshly baked bread, especially their Focaccia, was divine. They also have gluten free bread upon request. We enjoyed their Western selection with a Thai twist with dishes such as their Tuna Tartare, White Wine Vongole, Hokkaido Scallops and Pomelo Salad, and Crab Meat Angel Hair Pasta.
