2025 Birthday Deals and Perks in Singapore

A birthday was always a big deal as a kid: to a child, a year seems unfathomably long, and a year older was always a cause for celebration. It was a special day to ourselves, and ourselves alone, to make a fuss of: the biggest slice of cake, the biggest handful of balloons, the noisiest party. Now that we’re older and the years have piled on, there are more subdued ways to celebrate, but they don’t make it any less special.

From restaurant deals like free salmon sashimi, birthday desserts and even photography services, to deals at attractions like the Singapore Zoo and experiences like a stay at the Amara Sanctuary on Sentosa, here are some of the best ways to make your birthday month extra special. Yes, we said birthday month: many of these deals are month-long promotions, so you can have an extra-long celebration. We never got to do that as kids.

Tanuki Raw – Free Salmon Sashimi Birthday Deal

If you drop by Japanese restaurant and bar Tanuki Raw at Jewel Changi Airport or Cross Street Exchange in your birthday month, you’ll be able to receive free salmon sashimi slices matching the age you turn on your birthday (for instance, if you turn 35, you’ll receive 35 sashimi slices). This offer is available by reservation only, with at least a 24-hour notice so the restaurant can prepare your order.

At Jewel Changi Airport, the promotion is valid from Mondays to Thursdays, once during your birthday month, and at Cross Street Exchange it’s valid from Mondays to Saturdays after 5pm, once during your birthday month. With your sashimi, you’ll also have to purchase a bottle of wine or 720ml bottle of sake at a regular price, though purchase of happy hour drinks is still available. You’re limited to 40 slices, so your best strategy is to bring a friend who’s just pushing 40.

Though the sashimi deal isn’t available at Tanuki Raw Orchard Central, you’ll be able to receive a bottle of wine, merlot or chardonnay, with a minimum spend of S$35.

The Boiler – Free Lobster On Your Birthday

The award-winning Boiler, noted with a Certificate of Excellence in 2016 by Tripadvisor, offers a great deal for diners in their birthday month– you’ll receive a free Boston Lobster with every purchase of a Boiler’s Bombdiggity Bag. If you’ve got multiple friends with the same birthday month, bring them all in for a seafood feast– you’ll get a Boston Lobster for each celebrant.

This promotion is offered to members of the Boiler Seafood Community– registration is free, and can be done so here. The Bombdiggity Bag itself feeds four, and is a classic “seafood boil” bag with seasonal crabs, prawns, mussels, clams, smoked sausages and sweet pearl corns, served with a side of buns and cooked with your choice of sauce: house special “The Works”, with varying levels of spice, garlic pepper, butter pepper, or sauce of the month. Your birthday lobster will also come cooked in your sauce of choice– choose wisely.

This deal is available for both delivery and pick-up, so you can choose to tuck into your seafood as messily as you want in the comfort of your own home.

Spizza – Birthday Pizza Deals in Singapore

With the Spizza for Friends rewards programme, for which membership is free and available online, get a complimentary S$20 voucher at Spizza in your birthday month– which covers the price of a 10-inch pizza across the restaurant’s extensive offerings. Among these are the classic Margherita, “Natalie” with stracciatella, mortadella and pistachio crumbles, the luxuriously seafood-laden “Sofia”, or the dessert pizza “Tara” with Nutella, banana, and almond flakes.

You could also customise a 12-inch pizza for just S$22.50 with a variety of toppings, among them seafood, meat, cheese and vegetarian options. Alternatively, Spizza also has pasta on the menu, which is just as customisable as the pizza– choose from traditional sauces like the Aglio Olio e Pepperoncini with Mediterranean Vegetables, Vongole with White Wine Sauce, or the quirky Salmon and Dill Sauce. Lawry’s – Free Birthday Dessert, Photo Print, and More

If you choose to hold your birthday celebrations at Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore, you’re in for a treat– this retro fine-dining restaurant, which first opened in Beverly Hills in 1938, comes complete with spinning tableside salad bowls and silver beef-carving carts for a true Old Hollywood experience. This restaurant offers not one but multiple birthday deals for couples and groups, as well as a complimentary birthday dessert (a delightfully American selection like mud pie, sundaes and New York cheesecake) and instant photo print services.

For couples, order one main course and enjoy 50% off the second main course, and for groups, order two main courses and receive the third main course free. In addition, you’ll be able to enjoy a bottle of Chandon Brut or Sparkling Rosé at just S$89. You’ll be able to enjoy this promotion, applicable to adults only during your birthday month, unless you’re born in December.

Lawry’s also has a promotion for children– kids under 12 dine free on Thursdays with a minimum order of two adult à la carte main courses.

COCA Singapore – Free Thai-Style Steamboat Buffet On Your Birthday

One of Singapore’s first hotpot restaurants, COCA, offers a uniquely Thai-style hotpot experience combined with traditional Cantonese homestyle cooking. This buffet steamboat restaurant has six soup bases to choose from, including Thai tom yum, mala, and the signature “Hua Diao Phoenix”, as well as rustic specialities for cooking like the Patin fish rose roll, fish maw, and the house favourite fish glue. It’s a lot more appetising than it sounds– think of it as chewy seafood mochi.

And, in your birthday month, dine free at COCA with three paying adults. This promotion is applicable to COCA members– membership is free– and cannot be used on the eve of public holidays, on public holidays, or on the first nine days of the Lunar New Year.

Like many other restaurants on this list, COCA also has a kids’ promotion: children 11 and under dine free with two paying adults.

Brotzeit – Bottomless Beer for a Boozy Birthday

The casual German restaurant and beer bar Brotzeit, host of many a game night or race day, is stepping up to become your next favourite birthday venue: enjoy unlimited free beer at any Brotzeit in your birthday month if you show up in a group of 4 or more. This promotion can be used for multiple visits in your birthday month, so you could hypothetically show up every day. You’ll also receive a Birthday Dessert gift voucher– take your pick of German and Austrian favourites like the apple strudel and plum tray cake.

To enjoy this promotion, you’ll have to sign up as a Stammtisch Member: the restaurant’s loyalty program. Plain Vanilla Bakery, one of Singapore’s favourite bakeries, has recently started to offer a rewards program: the Thanks From Plain Vanilla program, which earns you cash vouchers, complimentary cups of coffee, and a complimentary monthly cupcake at the higher tier – as well as a birthday treat. This promotion is activated upon one prior order as a member, and is valid for 31 days from the first day of your birthday month.
