Master Jacelyn: In 2024 we have entered Period 9 which belongs to the Fire element, so anything RED is good. Eating more red tomatoes, red dragon fruit and even chilli padi is good for ushering in more positive energy.
Vanilla Luxury: Are there any specific foods or cooking techniques considered auspicious for this Lunar New Year? How can people incorporate them into their daily dining routines?
Master Jacelyn: When people gather, they generate greater YANG energy collectively (the masculine energy in our environment). Therefore, steamboat arrangements – especially mala-flavoured ones – and stir-fry dishes are recommended as they stimulate more such prosperous Yang frequencies.
To incorporate more fire elemental energy into your daily dining routine, you can stir-fry red bell pepper into your dishes. Cut down on your consumption of ‘colder’ food (for example sushi and salad).

Master Jacelyn: Turn up your charm when you wear your lucky colours. The colours below are recommended for the different Zodiac signs:

Master Jacelyn: The best colours for 2024 are red, brown and grey, and are universal for every Zodiac sign. These colours can be incorporated in diverse ways – whether big and bold, or small and understated – into your outfit, accessory or even hair colour. In terms of haircut style, we favour the pixie cut for a chic look to elevate your charismatic aura and ring in a fresh start.

Master Jacelyn:
The northwest sector of your living room: Here you can place a green potted plant such as lucky bamboo or jade plant. The two plants are associated with good fortune and prosperity. They are likely to enhance your career achievements in 2024.
Avoid placing artificial flowers and plants in the Southwest corner of your home: This direction signifies your romance and relationships zone for the year, and artificial flowers can attract unwanted love temptations.
There is a shared palette of lucky colours for 2024 that resonate for every Zodiac sign: These are red, brown and grey, so place a doormat in any of these colours outside your front entrance to welcome good fortune into your house.

Master Jacelyn: In Period 9 of the Feng Shui cycle, which starts in 2024, the Fire element stands out prominently as the most favourable element. So any motifs that signify Fire and its applications will allude to embracing harmony and luck for the year to come. I also recommend incorporating more triangular-type ornaments (like stars) in your home decor to enhance your energy and fortune.

Vanilla Luxury: Speaking about decorations, do you have any suggestions for ways to incorporate crystals into home décor or personal accessories like bracelets, to maximise luck for this year?
Master Jacelyn: In 2024, the auspicious direction for love and relationships is towards the Southwest. If you want to enhance your love luck, you can place your Rose Quartz or Strawberry Quartz crystals in the Southwest corner of your bedroom.
To maximise serendipity, it is recommended for you to wear your crystal bracelets on the left hand.

Master Jacelyn: Crystals DO absorb the energies around you, so if you have been to a wake or hospital, you can consider cleansing or purifying them. Recharging of crystals is optional, and you can do it every fortnight if you please.
There are various options for cleansing your crystals:
You could place the crystal item on a clean plate or bowl, and place it near a window area where the item can get sunlight, for 24 hours. This is to let them absorb the energy of the universe and can cleanse the items of any negative vibrations.
Alternatively, you can consider using a wealth-enhancing purifying water from Yuan Zhong Siu – simply spray it on your crystals, and wipe them dry with a clean cloth to recharge. As easy as that!
