Vanilla Luxury turns TWO and Celebrates with 8 Successful Women

Have we really turned 2? Yes, admittedly, I was so caught up with work last year that I had completely forgotten about celebrating our 1st anniversary. We can all thank Bianco, Vanilla Luxury’s New Year’s Eve Countdown for that, which we recently rocked again for the 2nd year just 3 weeks ago at Skyline.

Vanilla Luxury all started thanks to Mr. Aaghir Yadav who I’ve known for 5 years. From being his client back then to finally being convinced to start Vanilla Luxury, a luxury lifestyle marketing agency; he really drove me to where we are today.

I remember meeting Shireena Shroff Manchharam, founder of House of Sheens and it’s always a chicken and egg thing with marketing and sales so I thought to myself, if we have a full team of designers, copywriters, publicists, why can’t we create something that allows start ups to utilise our resources within their budget and that’s how Vanillaluxury.sg started.

It was really 16 working hours and my nights would typically end at 2.30 am working on the initial online portal on top of the marketing agency that has now turned into a digital magazine and focuses on content curation with a reach of over 250,000 people.

2 months into the business, we organised Valentine Vendetta which won a Silver award in PR garnering over $250,000 in media coverage and we will be hosting it’s 6th year at Skyline, with a twist to the concept.

To conclude the last 2 years, we have achieved several milestones not forgetting Sky Grande Prix, our post F1 party that garnered over 2 million dollars in media coverage and hosted over 20,000 people to date.

Although our Anniversary event was a tribute to professional women and my team comprises of several female rockstars, however, we couldn’t have done this without the men either.

With that said, here are 8 women who have inspired or supported me and they were all dressed up by the affordable luxury fashion label Jo Kilda.

Anita Kapoor

Eloquent, exuberant and wickedly funny, Mumbai-born and Singapore-raised media personality Anita Kapoor needs no introduction.  She lights up the small screen, artfully commands as an emcee and speaker, is a social media maniac, this woman does it all.

Lurata Lyon

Some of you may already know her thanks to her inspiring book “The Devil Could Not Break Me”. Lurata battled through war in the former Yugoslavia and was held captive and abused. She now is a public speaking coach, motivational speaker and helps others turn their pain to gain in business or on a personal level.

Holleigh Mason

The poster child for how to turn your life around and get healthy, Holleigh has lost 60kgs! 

The co-founder of Urban Remedy Asia is all about helping people achieve their wellness goals. They have built like-minded communities and are giving people access to the best experts in their field. Holleigh wants people to believe that it’s never too late to start.

Natalie Dau

Co-founder Natalie Dau of Urban Remedy Asia is not just only a wellness entrepreneur but also a fitness influencer in Singapore. Natalie is the only Singaporean female to represent Singapore in the Spartan Elite World Championship in Tahoe. Having spent 20 years as a high flyer in the corporate world, she now lives out of her deep passion for health and fitness. She loves being on the cutting edge of “what’s next” in wellness and inspiring others.

Lisa Marie

A former beauty queen having won miss universe Singapore 2015. She's an actress and a model these days and she believes that a woman can be anything if she puts her mind to it. “The sky is the limit,” says Lisa.

Sandra Koh

At the age of 26, Sandra Koh founded Bio Aesthetic Medispa & Laser Clinic. She believes that everybody can be empowered with aesthetic perfection and the pursuit of beauty perfection need not be an extravagant affair. She is inspired by her mother who founded Theresa Beauty Group. Sandra now oversees all 7 beauty centers island wide.

Pavi Hariharan

This 26 year old has a strong passion for International Law and Human Rights. Her interest in the field has allowed her to partake in prestigious moots such as the Jessup International Law Moot. Pavi recently completed a Legal Internship with the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia to bring justice to those who suffered, under the rule of the Khmer Rouge Regime.

Ruiyin Lin

The co-founder of luxury label State Property after graduating with a first class honours in Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martins in London. She is also the co-founder of Proper People. A multi-disciplinary creative agency, that work closely with businesses to create purposeful brand identities.
