How Anake Uses Your DNA To Offer Customised Skincare Treatments

Having been through the entire process, here’s my experience.

Step 1: Anake DNA Skin Test

I ordered my Anake DNA test kit to be delivered to my home; swabbed the inside of my cheeks; completed a consent form and registered my DNA kit online; and then arranged for my DNA sample to be picked up. How convenient!

Anake tests more than 15 genetic markers and uses proprietary algorithms to identify genetic factors to unlock your skin profile. With the information, Anake is able to highlight your skin’s strengths and weaknesses.

Step 2: Anake DNA Skin Test Results and Analysis

Two weeks after I sent my DNA sample, my results were ready. All I had to do was book a consultation with the beauty team to find out what the results meant for me.

In addition to your genetics, it is important for the team to understand your skincare routine and underlying skin problems to help you find long-term solutions with innovative technology.

Their cutting-edge Skin Analyser contains the world's most advanced skin detection equipment using RGB visible light, polarised light, and UV spectrum imaging technology.  With the use of facial skin imaging analysis, the team is able to understand your skin’s immediate conditions and troubles. 

Based on my DNA report, my lifestyle and skincare routine, and the facial analysis, the consultant was able to tell me more about my skin’s health. Some of the indicators included medium risk to sun damage and pigmentation and medium risk to free radical damage. The results were insightful to me as I spend a significant amount of time outdoors, and I didn’t realise that at 30 my skin was already showing signs of ageing within the deeper layers.

Step 3: Anake Customised Skincare Treatments

With the data received from the DNA reports and skin analysis, Anake designs an all-rounded long-term plan that you can immediately implement. Their skincare treatments target both damage repair and tissue longevity.

Based on my diagnosis, I went through a very comprehensive beauty treatment involving a total of 12 steps. Highlights of the skincare treatment included LED Light Treatment, 24K Collagen Mask, and 24K Gold Cocoage Lifting Treatment.

The 10-minute LED light treatment helps to repair, replenish and rejuvenate the skin, even skin tone, treat blemishes, and heal sun damage. Different wavelengths were used - red light for anti-ageing, blue light for anti-bacterial, and green light for anti-pigmentation.

The Opatra Anti-ageing Collagen Mask soothes, calms and moisturises the skin. It helps to remove impurities and reduce skin irritation for a pleasant feeling of freshness. Ingredients such as collagen and glycosaminoglycans are added for an effective anti-ageing regenerative treatment.

Cocoage Gold Luminous Recovery Cream is applied using a Vita massaging device followed by Cocoage 24K Gold Leaf used with a Melting Applicator. The main ingredient is gold, one of nature’s most precious ingredients which has been believed to increase skin elasticity, stimulate cells and combat premature ageing. Paired with modern technology, it pushes the pure 24k gold deeper into the skin layers and maximises the benefits/efficacy.
