5th Anniversary: The Barracks Hotel Enhances Turndown Experience with Miller Harris and Pryce Tea

Housed in a restored 1904 British artillery outpost in Sentosa, The Barracks Hotel is an exclusive hideaway that is deeply rooted in Singapore’s history. The hotel has retained military styled artefacts, memorabilia, and tools are framed and showcased along the corridors.
In a nod to its British heritage, The Barracks Hotel, owned by Singaporean Far East Hospitality, is marking its 5th anniversary with a special collaboration featuring multi-award-winning Singaporean Pryce Tea and luxury British perfumery Miller Harris.

The Rooms & Suites
The rooms and suites at The Barracks Hotel showcase a rich tapestry of dark wood grains, complemented by the warm gleam of brass and sophisticated leather-accented furnishings.
Exquisite attention to detail is evident throughout, particularly in the thoughtfully placed leather accents. Here, masterful craftsmanship blends nostalgic charm with contemporary refinement.
Guests also enjoy a complimentary self-guided heritage audio tour, access to The Living Room with its breakfast, all-day refreshments, and evening cocktails and canapés and the dedicated service of a Personalised Equerry, available 24/7 for everything from travel arrangements to local recommendations.

Enhanced Turndown Experience
Upon checking in at the reception, guests are invited to select their preferred turndown room scent from brand Pryce Tea. We opted for Starlit Serenity, which was a calming blend of French Lavender and Juniper.
Another option was the Graceful Camellia, which was a blend of Assam black tea with florals like Iris and Peony, a personal favourite. These scents were placed in the room during turndown service, and it subtly diffused throughout the suite.

Exclusive Bath Amenities from British Perfumer Miller Harris
The Barracks Hotel’s refreshed turndown service features the Miller Harris Tea Tonique collection, marking the renowned British perfumer's first hotel partnership in Singapore.
The premium range of bath amenities inspired by the calming ritual of brewing the perfect cup of tea. The hand wash, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel invokes the notes of crisp citrus that was rather refreshing, fresh tea leaves as well as a warm musk scent that envelopes your skin leaving you feeling luxurious and calm.
Guests can further indulge with the exclusive Miller Harris Tea Tonique bath salts (available upon request) for an elevated bathing experience.

The Barracks Martini Tonique
A rather interesting cocktail menu, the signature cocktails have been crafted exclusively for The Barracks Hotel by master blender Tian Peng from Pryce Tea.
Holding more than 20 U.K. Great Taste Awards teas created under his belt, master blender Tian Peng has specially crafted bespoke tea-infused cocktails inspired by the romantic and colonial charm of The Barracks Hotel. The French Rose Old Fashion was a favourite.
The Barracks Hotel has added a specially crafted cocktail by Pryce Tea, which were inspired by the notes in Miller Harris’ Tea Tonique Eau de Parfum. The Martini Tonique was a refreshing cocktail that was zesty decorated with bits of nutmeg.

Breakfast at The Barracks
With the option to choose a starter and a main, we decided to try both the Western and Local options.
The Western breakfast menu features classic comfort delights such as assorted pastries, homemade granola with berries and natural yoghurt, eggs the way you like it, smoked salmon eggs benedict, bagel breakfast sandwich, avocado on sourdough toast, waffles, pancakes and more.
The Local breakfast menu had three different dim sum sets for starters, congee, nasi lemak, bee hoon soup, kaya stuffed french toast which was equally comforting. The best part about breakfast was just serene, making it a perfect staycation to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
