Coralarium at Sirru Fen Fushi
The first in Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi houses a stunning Coralarium unlike any other. It is the only coral regeneration project in the form of a semi-submerged art installation which has attracted tons of fishes.
This Coralarium is a stunning metallic structure both in the day and night and upon scuba diving, you will witness several schools of fishes, making it an absolute beauty both from land and under water. In the evening, the structure illuminates to attract marine life.
We had the privilege of accompanying the sustainability team at Sirru Fen Fushi as we submerged sculptures and were told that they were fishes in just one day. Marine Biologist Mohamad Izuwan, a specialist in underwater megafauna, including manta rays, oversees the ecological protection of Sirru Fen Fushi and guides guests in immersive educational activities.
9 Kilometer Kaleidoscope of Coral Reef
Known for having one of the Maldives' best house reefs, their 9 kilometer kaleidoscope coral reef is teeming with vibrant native marine life. Guests can witness manta rays, eagle rays, green and hawksbill turtles, various shark species including blacktip, whitetip, gray reef, and nurse sharks, as well as guitar fish, Napoleon wrasse, and much more while scuba diving.
Stargazing and Astronomy at Sirru Fen Fushi
As this luxury resort sits on its own, the moon, stars and planets shine bright with unrivalled brilliance in the clear skies. In collaboration with SpaceCat Astrotourism and guided by their very own in-house Astronomer Arun Saini, we saw numerous stars, planets, and of course the moon up close - it was indeed a celestial beauty.
Gastronomy
From breakfast, to an expansive lunch and dinner menu, the team at this luxury resort takes dining seriously. The quality and spread at breakfast, with freshly made juices, a large variety of freshly baked pastries, as well as Asian and Continental staples - there’s something for everybody including gluten-free options.
Lunch options include a beachfront view at Spice Box or Raha Market, and even a poolside menu if you feel like keeping it light.
Dinner was fantastic at all three concepts dishing up Western, Japanese and International cuisine - Azure, KATA and Raha Market, visit all to enjoy breathtaking sunsets paired with delicious cuisine and fine wines.
The food and beverage team is helmed by Chef Girish who discovered his culinary passion and was part of the esteemed 3-Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in London, where he immersed himself in the art of fine dining.

From dolphin safaris, to sunset cruises, fishing trips, snorkelling, diving and of course an island excursion, there are plenty of activities for every age and interest.
Shaviyani Atoll attracts various species of sea turtles and more than 40 resident sea turtles roam Sirru Fen Fushi’s house reef regularly. Do remember to admire these gentle turtles responsibly.
Of course, motorised and non-motorised water sports such as kayaking and paddle boarding are available including the latest toys such as seabob, flyboard and e-foiling. We had a blast on the sofa ride!

Sustainability Initiatives at Sirru Fen Fushi

The Sustainability Lab, the Maldives' first resort-based plastic recycling facility, serves as a hub for environmental education and creative expression. This innovative center turns plastic waste into unique souvenirs and ocean-inspired creations, including custom furniture.
It’s more than just a facility; it’s a place of learning where guests and local schoolchildren can explore the importance of environmental protection and discover how they can contribute to preserving the planet. Using state-of-the-art extrusion molding machinery, the resort repurposes plastics into handcrafted items like turtle keychains and fishing net bracelets.
In collaboration with the Olive Ridley Project, the eco-conscious team actively monitors the beaches for turtle nesting activity. Various turtle species regularly visit to lay their eggs, and when a turtle arrives, the resort's marine biologist secures the nest and carefully monitors it. When the eggs are ready to hatch, they help these tiny hatchlings safely reach the ocean.
