Panamericana – North, Central and South American Cuisine With Clifftop Views
This alfresco dining experience requires reservations two months in advance– Panamericana in the prestigious Sentosa Golf Club is billed as Singapore’s only clifftop restaurant, and gives you sweeping views of the Singapore Straits against the setting sun. The name hints to the menu– a survey of North, Central and South American cuisine, with a “farm-to-fire” concept inspired by the Argentinian asador.
Steak specials at Panamericana get their own dedicated menu: choose from premium cuts like the Shimo Ribeye and Nay dry-Aged Galician Rib, topped with a variety of steak dressings and sauces from all along the Pan-American Highway. The restaurant’s special, charred herb salsa, has been beloved since 2018, but you can also get red wine jus, Argentinian chimichurri, Mexican salsa roja, the rich, complex mole poblano from Oaxaca, or good old-fashioned American steak sauce. From the all-day menu, a couple of “big plates” like the Panamericana Dirty Rice with mushroom soarito, chili and fried cannellini beans, or sides like the California salad with crispy bacon, queso fresco and pistachio emulsion, are good to pair with.
Panamericana’s horseshoe-shaped bar is built for socialising, and features the same breathtaking views: pick up a signature cocktail like the Roasted Banana Old Fashioned and relax.

Rosso Vino – Alfresco Italian Restaurant Along Singapore’s Robertson Quay
Along Singapore’s sparkling waterfront at Robertson Quay is Rosso Vino, a small but cosy Italian restaurant with uncovered views of the river and a menu of fresh, home-made pasta. But that’s not all they do– you’ll find all of the Italian restaurant staples, like pizza, steak and seafood, including the famous Polpo Alla Griglia, a generous spread of appetisers and tasting platters, and Italian dessert.
Appetisers include Parmigiana di Melanzane, oven-baked eggplant layered with mozzarella, parmesan cheese and tomato sauce, and fresh, light Carpaccio di Manzo with olive oil. However, the highlights of the menu at Rosso Vino are their pastas: as all good pasta dishes are, simple ingredients dressed up. Spaghetti alla carbonara, always a hit, is served glossy with egg and Pecorino Romano. An extra-luxurious option, the Capellini al Granchio e bisque di Aragosta, is angel hair pasta tossed in lobster bisque and crab meat sauce, perfect for an evening on the water. There’s even a gluten-free pasta menu, should you require one: the gluten-free Penne Aglio Olio e Peperoncino is tangy with a spicy kick.

It serves up comforting classics like deluxe surf and turf platters with Angus-Fred Grain Ribeye, Corn-fed Chicken Thigh, and fresh seafood like Jumbo King Prawns.
These dishes are perfected over a live Josper grill – a rarity in Singapore and available exclusively at Riverside Terrace – expertly grilled over Applewood for a tender and smoky finish.
The restaurant also offers innovative takes on pizza, like the Signature Hawaiian Chicken Tikka, pastas like the Seafood Aglio Olio, and elevated local and regional favourites like Grand Copthorne Waterfront’s signature Laksa and Wok-fried Hokkien Mee.

The Halia – Lush Alfresco Dining In Singapore's Botanic Gardens
Singapore isn’t exactly a “garden city”, but “a city in a garden” – and with its blend of technical expertise, tropical romance, and plain good taste, The Halia at Singapore Botanic Gardens has come to embody that. This culinary experience masterfully crosses European flavours with Asian skill for decadent yet delicate dishes that you won’t quite find anywhere else.
Named after “halia”, the Malay word for “ginger”, The Halia is nestled in Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Ginger Garden, with rustic wooden ceiling beams, tiled floors, and an outdoor dining patio that’s framed with palm trees and greenery. Begin with an Italian Burrata with mixed leaf salad, pickled ginger powder, bread and crackers, then a Paperbag Halibut Fillet, cooked in soy and ginger broth with sesame Japanese rice, wakame and truffle aioli, or an Organically Farmed Lacto Chicken Breast with charred broccolini, coal roasted octopus, thyme and ginger jus. The dishes at The Halia are distinctly light and nature-inspired, like the Organic Chia Seed Porridge.
For a minimum of two persons, you may reserve a table for the restaurant’s ongoing Date Night Promotion: the set dinner begins from S$75++ per person, and the menu features dishes like Pan-Roasted Jerusalem Artichoke and Angus Striploin.

1939 Singapore – Alfresco Dining In A Hip, Historic Building
Previously known as Potato Head, 1939 Singapore continues its unique, modern-local dining concept across three storeys in a refurbished historic building in Chinatown. The rooftop bar at 1939, open from 5pm to midnight, offers views of Singapore’s skyline amidst a relaxed setting, as well as the restaurant’s signature burgers and bites and a menu of tropical, tiki-themed cocktails.
There’s a truly extensive selection of burgers here– from vegan to non-vegan, classic to innovative, sliders to massive four-layered double-beef constructions. For the best of everything, though, go for the sliders and a couple of small-plate bites: the “Belly Idol” with a 65g Wagyu beef patty, twice-cooked “Dingley Dell” pork belly, “Red-eye-style” sriracha and espresso mayonnaise is one of those hip East-meets-West creations that 1939 nails.
The cocktail menu is small, but interesting: choose from the fruit-laden “Ceylon Colada” with Sampan 43, banana, coconut, pandan, melon and pineapple; the “Purple Rain” with Grey Goose, raspberry, elderflower, citrus and AÉR, or simply choose the option to “Trust Your Bartender”. If you’d like to sample from a unique, musically-inspired cocktail menu, though, head downstairs to the Studio 1939 Cocktail Bar: its “BPM”-themed cocktail menu is inspired and organised by music genres.

Sabio By The Sea – Spanish Delights In A Breezy Seaside Setting
The original Sabio restaurant in Duxton Hill was one of Singapore’s very first Spanish tapas bars and restaurants. Today, its waterfront sister Sabio by the Sea, in Quayside Isle on Sentosa, remains the place to be for lazy afternoons in the sun– with a breezy patio, a view overlooking the bay, and a menu of hot and cold tapas, paella and Josper grill specialities, it’s sure to become your next Sunday afternoon staple.
All the iconic dishes of Spanish cuisine are here: patatas bravas, Champinones al Ajillo (garlic mushrooms), the Andalusian cold soup gazpacho, and the ubiquitous Barcelona Bikini sandwich, with Manchego and truffle spread. The famous Josper-Fired Padrón Peppers, Spanish peppers grilled till puffy, also appear on the menu, as do several varieties of paella. However, like in Spain, you’ll also find simpler dishes that showcase complex flavours: Sardinas en Aceite de Oliva, sardines straight from the sea preserved in olive oil, and beef carpaccio. The Huevos con Todos, a Catalan-style dish of soft eggs with runny yolks, sliced Spanish jamón, spiced squid and mushrooms in tomato sauce with toast, is too tempting to just be a breakfast food.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons till 3:30pm, head down for an All-You-Can-Eat Hangover Brunch: free-flow tapas, brunch menu items and, for an added price, unlimited cava and sangria.

Wildseed Cafe At The Alkaff Mansion – Pet-Friendly Alfresco Dining And Coffee
Wildseed Cafe at the Alkaff Mansion is pet-friendly, beautifully decorated with florals, and situated away from the city in the historic Alkaff Mansion with indoor and outdoor dining areas. It’s primarily a cafe, as the name suggests– it even has its own coffee blend, the Alkaff Mansion blend, and features an extensive breakfast menu served from 8am to 11:30am on weekdays and till 3:30pm on weekends– but they also do lunch, tea, dinner and drinks via the 1918 Bar.
From the all-day menu, dig into elevated local classics: the “Atas Kaya Toast” is the Set A breakfast made fancy with sourdough, Gula Melaka, fresh coconut, a sous vide egg, butter and kaya; or the Honey Sesame Soy wings, topped with sesame seeds. Particularly eye-catching, though, is the Wildseed Thick Toast: with mixed berries, crushed pistachio, pistachio cream and Greek yoghurt atop brioche buns, it’s halfway to cake. There’s also a croffle menu: this cross between a croissant and a waffle comes in Kit Kat-Banana and Mixed Berries varieties.
The same familiar flavours made new can be found on the cafe’s nighttime menu, as it transforms into the romantic, fairy-light-studded 1918 Bar: bite-sized chili crab Kueh Pie Tee, Iberico “Kong Bak Bao” drenched in braise sauce, and the innovative Palak Paneer Pizza– a take on a hot favourite restaurant curry. Desserts include fried mochi in peanut and sesame flavours, topped with vanilla ice cream.

Super Loco Customs House – Alfresco Casual Mexican Dining At Marina Bay
There’s another Super Loco down by Robertson Quay, but this one at Customs House has a better view: facing directly across the water at Marina Bay, its casual, bustling atmosphere and stunning views of Singapore’s skyline make it good for just about any occasion, whether it’s post-work drinks, dates, or lunch with friends.
Sample appetisers like the fresh-tangy Mango Ceviche, sustainably farmed seabass with mango, serrano chili and agave sweet corn, before ordering your own weight in tacos. These come with hot favourite toppings like the Baja Fish with crispy crumbed barramundi, chili mango salsa and mint, the indulgent Carne Asada with chargrilled Angus beef, green chili chimichurri, burnt onion crema and pico di gallo, or the vegan Lion’s Mane Al Pastor with lettuce, pickled onion, avocado, chipotle mayo, and marinated lion’s mane mushroom. Of course, the warm weather makes it good for a drink or two: there’s four margaritas on the menu, each showcasing the restaurant’s best tequila and mezcal, as well as fiery tropical takes on cocktails like the Sangria Rojo with lemongrass and tequila.

Little Island Brewing Co. at Changi Village – Alfresco Dining By The Beach
Iconic local microbrewery, smokehouse and gastropub Little Island Brewing Co. first started up in the leisurely beach town of Changi Village with live band performances , a roster of craft beers, and pub bites: today, the party goes on at the original venue, which has even been recognised by the New York Times as a must-visit destination in Singapore. It’s just a short distance from Changi Beach, and you won’t even need to change out of your slippers– this restaurant is ultra-casual, ultra-relaxed, and good fun.
With twelve house-brewed craft beers on the menu and an extensive selection of dishes from bar bites to burgers to the restaurant’s signature sourdough pizza, it’s easy to find something you’ll like: though, for a meal by the beach, we’re looking at tropical flavours like the Grilled Squid Tentacles with spicy green sriracha and chimichurri, or the Aloha Chicken burger with grilled Hawaiian teriyaki chicken and sumac onion. The sourdough pizzas at Little Island Brewing Co. don’t take themselves too seriously, with names like the Optimus Prime, Polka Dot Burkini, and Play That Fungi Muzik– it’s hard not to crack a smile while ordering them. Making them, though, is serious business: the sourdough base has kombucha as a starter, and is proofed for between 24 to 48 hours to achieve a fluffy yet chewy texture.

Merci Marcel Orchard – Alfresco Cafe In The Heart Of Orchard Road
Merci Marcel’s France-in-the-tropics concept brings itself to Orchard Road, Singapore’s shopping district, in the form of a beautifully airy restaurant-cafe with tropical motifs and Bauhaus-inspired architecture. With its white brick walls, high columns and thatched ceilings, this cafe is immensely chic– and its alfresco patio area’s arched bay windows add elegance and old-school European cham.
Settle down for brunch in between shopping trips– the simple but delightful Croque Marcel with organic Bayonne ham, French Morbier cheese, mesclun and a fried egg is best enjoyed in the morning sunshine. Heartier dishes include the Ravioles de Royans, French dumpling pasta topped with Tête de Moine cheese, or the beef tenderloin carpaccio with sweet potato chips and red Kampot pepper. Of course, never miss the cafe’s French bakery, stocked with specialty viennoiseries like croissants and pain au chocolat. You’ll also be able to order a bakery assortment to share with friends: two croissants, two pain au chocolat, sourdough bread, a baguette, butter and jam. Come back in the evening for a classic French dinner: duck rillettes with marinated pear and melted Camembert, Saucisse de Toulouse, or Duck Parmentier, among others.
