Just 45 minutes away from Singapore, Banyan Tree Bintan is the only all-villa resort in Bintan that faces the South China Sea. We spent the weekend unwinding on the resort’s private beach and indulged in their signature Balinese massage.
Villas
Be it a romantic getaway or a family weekend staycation, there are 7 different types of villas to choose from in Banyan Tree Bintan.
Set in the tranquil Rainforest, the Rainforest Seaview Villa has a beautiful view of the ocean.
The Rainforest Ocean Villa comes in a one or two-bedroom option that is perfect for families needing additional rooms.
The Oceanview Infinity Pool Villa is definitely the one with the best view.
Dining
For the Romantics, spoil yourself by having Dinner on the Rocks, where you get to enjoy your meal with a personal chef and waiter.
Dinners at 17 is perfect for a corporate retreat as you dine at Laguna Bintan Golf Club’s signature 17 hole that has one of the best sunset views on the island.
The Kelong Dining Experience is perfect for families, as children would get to experience getting on a Pompong boat before having dinner on a traditional Kelong.
Prefer something casual? Guests at Banyan Tree are able to dine in Saffron which is a Thai Fusion restaurant, The Cove which dishes out Modern European cuisine, Treetops which serves Indonesian food or even Xana Beach Club that has a daily dinner buffet.
Spa
Banyan Tree Spa pioneered the tropical garden spa concept with its Asian therapies and holistic focus on spiritual, mental and physical harmony. Their Spas offer guests a Sanctuary for the Senses focusing on a non-clinical and holistic approach based on Asian healing therapies.
It emphasises a ‘high-touch, low-tech’ approach that celebrates the human touch and the use of natural herbs and spices. All spa treatment ingredients are freshly grounded and mixed on the day of the treatment and specially prepared for specific treatments.
For guests who are seeking to recreate the spa experience in the comforts of their home can purchase essential oils, ceramic burners and our full range of Banyan Tree Essentials products from Banyan Tree Gallery.
Activities
For those looking to unwind and chill peacefully, there are two pools to choose from at Banyan Tree if not just walk down the beach and you’ll be at Xana Beach Club where it’s lively.
Adventure seekers like ourselves headed to Xana Beach Club and chose to get on the Jet Ski instead of the ATV or Banana Boat.
There is even a marine conservation centre where if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see turtles being released into the sea.
Kids Club
There is a Kids Club in Angsana Bintan which welcomes children aged three to ten years old and entertains them daily from 8.30am – 5pm with various activities such as baking, face painting, sandcastle building and more.
