Loca Loka Debuts in Singapore: Indian Tradition Meets Mexican Craftsmanship

Blending traditional Mexican agave essence and the sweet, spicy notes of Indian cuisine, this tequila has fascinated enthusiasts since the day of its launch in August 2024– and Loca Loka is now in Singapore, bringing its fiery energy to the city’s spirits scene.
Loca Loka Tequila - A Unique Pairing of Cultures
Behind this unique pairing of cultures and influences is three visionaries from Ironhill Hospitality who seek to change and redefine the tequila experience: Harsha Vadlamudi, CEO and Founder of Loca Loka, alongside the famous Indian actor Rana Daggubati and celebrated music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who have together created a tequila that, in the words of Harsha Vadlamudi himself, appeals to global palates while creating something entirely new. Anirudh Ravichander adds that Loca Loka appeals to him as an act of creativity: “the brand’s innovative take on tequila lends itself to the universal language of music”.
Additive-Free Tequila Loca Loka is Now in Singapore
This additive-free tequila is produced from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, from 100% pure highland agave, and undergoes a five-step process to achieve just the right balance of sweetness and spice. Beginning with the hand-picking of the best mature agave hearts, they are then slow-cooked in brick ovens for several days to unlock their natural sweetness and complexity, softened, and crushed in rollers or screw mills to release agave nectar. The nectar undergoes a natural fermentation process, is distilled, and finally left to mature to create the final product.
Two Flavours, Tequila Blanco and Tequila Reposado
Loca Loka tequila comes in two flavours, perfect for those seeking out diverse flavour profiles.
Tequila Blanco, the lighter variant, combines the round, fruity flavours of cooked agave and the gentle, earthy-floral notes of Highland agaves to create a refreshing profile that reveals harmonious depth of flavour. The final flavour that lingers on the tongue is a long finish of sweet and fruity agave tones, complex but easy to drink.
Tequila Reposado, the deeper variant, is aged six months in American and French oak barrels for a blend of smooth Highland agave and the subtle complexity of oak, appealing to both seasoned tequila connoisseurs and new drinkers. The final impression of this tequila is a longer and richer cooked-agave flavour that still remains delicately balanced.
