If you are looking for a five-star secluded paradise in Thailand, Pimalai Resort and Spa in Koh Lanta needs to be on your list. It is no surprise that Pimalai Resort and Spa has won numerous awards and accolades by both industry experts and guests. It is truly an eco-conscious hidden paradise on a tropical island that is worth a trip. Get ready to enjoy the life of luxury surrounded by 100 acres of unspoiled jungle, cascading down to a 900-metre-long private beach and the azure Andaman Sea.
Rooms, Suites and Villas
We do not have to think twice about revisiting and staying in Pimalai’s Hillside Ocean View Private Pool again. This luxurious villa is housed in a tropical jungle that is 60 metres above sea level. The view speaks for itself. This villa offers one bedroom, one living room that can be converted to another bedroom, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub overlooking Ba Kan Tiang Bay. Take a dip in your infinity pool as you admire and listen to all that nature has to offer.
Dining at Pimalai Resort and Spa
With several restaurants to choose from, we personally loved Rak Talay Beach Bar and Restaurant for lunch. Located at the beach, we devoured an array of Southern Thai dishes, pastas and salads for lunch while enjoying sweeping views of the ocean and breeze. Modern in decor, we can stay here all afternoon eating and sipping on cocktails. There is a bar just beside the restaurant where most guests have happy hour while admiring the sunset.
Seven Seas was named the top “Luxury Resort Restaurant” in Thailand and it specialises in the finest and freshest seafood, overlooking the Andaman Sea. Breakfast is also served at Seven Seas and the views are absolutely worth waking up for.
Pimalai Spa
Winner of the World Luxury Spa Award, Pimalai Spa is a haven of tranquillity where highly-trained therapists offer a wide range of treatments, including massages, wraps and scrubs, all nestled in the jungle. We certainly felt transported back to nature once we were at Pimalai Spa and a massage was all we needed to feel rejuvenated before dinner.
Private yoga classes can be arranged and the resort’s two breath-taking infinity pools provide the perfect settings to cool off whilst gazing out over the ocean.
Activities and Excursions
Pimalai Resort and Spa has plenty of beach activities, Island excursions, diving in Koh Lanta, kids activities and more lined up for guests. You can choose to lay in the soft sand or get into the ocean and paddle board or kayak.
Sports enthusiasts can stay in shape with tennis, badminton and basketball courts, a fitness centre and muay Thai ring. With a regular schedule of activities at the Kid’s Corner, children too will be kept entertained throughout their holiday.
Curious explorers can also embark on journeys of discovery in and around Koh Lanta. While Mu Ko Lanta National Park is closed for its annual restoration, experience-seeking guests can still enjoy offshore excursions, mangrove tours, jungle treks and relaxing walks through the heritage-rich old town.
Thailand is now fully reopened for international visitors, with no testing requirements or quarantine restrictions.
Pimalai Resort and Spa offers complimentary airport transfers from Krabi Airport.
