Singapore Airlines Upgrades Premium Economy Class – New Dining Options and Amenity Kits

Singapore Airlines has unveiled its newly revamped Premium Economy Class in-flight experience. It features an improved dining experience with a wider variety of food and drink options and a new amenity kit. From 31 March 2024 onwards, these upgrades will be available for passengers on upcoming flights.

Singapore Airlines’ Elevated Premium Economy Class In-Flight Experience 

It’s no secret that Singapore Airlines’ Premium Economy Class has been a hot favourite among flyers. Mr Yeoh Phee Telk, Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President Customer Experience, has mentioned that the airline “continuously gathers feedback and is always finding new ways to deliver a personalised and world-class in-flight experience”. 

Based on their insights, Singapore Airlines’ revamp reflects its commitment to enhancing the Premium Economy Class experience to a “class of its own.” 

200 New Appetisers, Main Courses and Desserts 

As part of the Premium Economy Class revamp, the airline has developed over 200 new appetisers, main courses, and desserts for future in-flight meals. Each meal will include a seasonal appetiser, a main, bread, dessert, and cheese and crackers served on a full-sized tray. 

In addition to the conventional bread roll, there will be other options, such as croissants for breakfast or garlic bread for lunch, dinner, and supper. The new variety of appetisers will feature garlic-roasted prawns with smoked aioli and Patatas Bravas, or Spanish-fried potatoes, broccoli salad with hot-smoked salmon, and more. 

Passengers can enjoy new dishes on every flight with their Beef Bourguignon, Thai-style Crab Curry, and Bak Chor Mee. Alternatively, opt for their expanded Book The Cook menu, which offers up to 20 dishes on rotation. The new inclusions feature Slow Braised Lamb Ragout and Sake Teriyaki, a salmon dish with teriyaki sauce. Plant-based meals such as Mushroom Eggplant Meatballs are also available. 

In addition, the meals are served with contemporary stoneware glazed porcelain serviceware and silverware for an elevated in-flight dining experience. 

Brand New In-Flight Amenity Kit for Premium Economy Flyers

If you are onboard for Premium Economy Class flights beyond seven hours, you will be given an exclusively designed amenity kit. 

Singapore Airlines partnered with US-based eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle brand, Out of The Woods, to introduce a luxurious and premium amenity kit for customers. 

The kit is made of environmentally friendly kraft paper fabric, while the eyeshades and slippers are made from recycled PET materials. The amenity kit also includes a lip balm encased in biodegradable materials.
